Arsenal Latest: Wengers Says No To Panic Buys, And A Bid For De Rossi

Wenger: “It’s not my strength to panic.”

Arsenal have been extremely quite in this transfer season and after sky high expectations from them all they have managed to get are two low profile players. This has enraged the fans to a great extent and has exposed the fragile structure of the team. There is just one demand from all supporters of Arsenal now and that is to buy players. But amid all these turmoil, manager Arsene Wenger still insists that they will not buy any players out of panic.

“We will not panic buy, that is for sure,” he stated during a press conference. “It’s not my strength to panic.”

He went on to say “I’m completely happy with what we do and how we do things. When you see our team play I think what is the most important is what is happening on the pitch and the way we play and we have good players so let’s focus on that.”

Arsenal will play Tottenham on Sunday, their traditional rival. While Tottenham have gone on to purchase some valuable players to increase their depth, Arsenal have not spent any money this term in spite of having a big transfer kitty.

Winger also seems aware of the situation and knows the importance of performing well in this match. “It’s a big game because it’s a special rivalry between the two teams but as well for me it’s three points that are vitally important because we want to play the top of the league and after our start it’s important of course that we win the game.”

And Arsenal’s big signing may just be around the corner with Wenger preparing a shock bid for Daniele De Rossi of AS Roma. The midfielder has spent his whole career at Roma and now has indicated that he wants to try his skills abroad.

Although Wenger will have to spend a huge amount of transfer fee for the Italian, this transfer will certainly go down to satisfy his fans as well as increase the quality of his squad to an unprecedented level.
