Even after three weeks the Arsenal fans are still yet to get over from the fact that Mesut Ozil has joined their club. They are elated about this and rightly so. But Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has rightly understood that this would put a huge amount of burden on the German and thus he has tried to ease the pressure on him by trying to ease of his burden. Ozil is being viewed as the messiah of the club which has put a huge burden of expectation on him. But Wenger has said that he still needs to get adjusted to life in England and that he is far from his physical best at the moment.
“I think he is not at the top physically yet. Overall we are very pleased to have him with us, but he will demand a bit of time to adjust to the vigorous body challenges he will face in the Premier League. Once he has done that, he will be even stronger,” Wenger said.
Ozil joined Arsenal from Real Madrid on the transfer deadline day for a huge sum of £42.4m and he did not take more than eleven minutes to register his first assist for the club. Both the management and the supporters would like to believe that Ozil plays a long time for the Londoners and help the club regain the lost glory.
In other news, former Arsenal star Alex Song is not happy with life at Barcelona and is contemplating a move to the English Premier League. Song was a vital member of the Gunners squad but last season he left the English side to pursue his career at the Catalan team. But now it seems that he is disillusioned with his life in Spain after just a single year.
At Barcelona he has rarely got the chance to play in the team and has spent most his time on the bench. This season he has featured just once into the starting eleven in the seven opportunities thus far and that too was because of an injury to Busquets.
It is being said that the English clubs Arsenal and Manchester United are interested in the player. Big spending Spurs are also monitoring the player and it should be a bidding game between the team regarding Song in January.
