Arsenal midfielder Santi Cazorla has claimed in an interview with Sport360 that Arsenal are keen on Iker Casillas and has called on the Real Madrid goalkeeper to join him at Emirates Stadium.
According to reports from Skysports, who have quoted Santi Cazorla’s interview with Sport360, the midfielder has given hints to a possible exit from the Emirates while also revealing Arsenal’s interest in the Spanish shot stopper.
“I’ve told Iker I would like him to join Arsenal. But so far he has just been curious about my experience in England.
“His situation is very complicated, but he has to make a decision.
“Lots of clubs want him, including Arsenal.
“But I think it would be very difficult to leave Real because he knows what he has at Madrid, and what he could find at another club.”
Despite remaining as a back-up to Diego Lopez in the last two seasons, Casillas has indicated recently that he wishes to stay at the Bernabeu for the rest of his career.
Barring a couple of poor games, Arsenal’s number one shot stopper wojciech szczesny has been decent this season and looks to be an improving keeper including 13 clean sheets from 33 Premier League appearances. So do they Gunners need Casillas at the moment, if at all he decides to leave Madrid?

First Giroud asks Lloris to come over from Spurs. Now Cazorla wants Casillas. Can't be good for Sczczesny's confidence.

Cazorla wants Arsenal to sign Casillas, Giroud wants them to sign Lloris. Almost like they think Szczesny is a complete bellend too.
