Not a bad week to be a Gooner is it? The launch of the new PUMA Kit, the news about Alexis Sanchez and finally seeing three of their favourite stars lifting the World cup in the biggest of stages. It brings back memories of the 1998 World cup when the likes of Petit and Vieira helped the French national team to beat the mighty Brazilians. This time around, Mesut Ozil, Lukas Podolski and Per Mertesacker were part of a spirited German side who humbled the Brazilians in the semi-finals and managed to beat their fiercest rivals Argentina in the finals to lift their first World Cup as a united nation.
