Arsenal once upon a time had a goalkeeping crisis. Almunia, Fabianski, and Szczesny all fell short of the expectation from the fans. But after they got David Ospina and Petr Chech, now it seems there are too many goalkeepers at Emirates currently.

As usual, there was an expectation that David Ospina could be leaving the Gunners for a first team football and Szczesny will return to Roma. However Evening Standard has brought us the news that the Colombian goalkeeper is set to stay in spite of no first team football. There was an expectation that the player will look to leave the club in the summer, however, speaking to the media in Los Angeles the player has revealed that he is happy to stay at Arsenal and fight for his place.

Last year, during Petr Chech’s injury, the Colombian pulled off a string of impressive performances and the Gunners are not ready to let him go easily. Well judging by his statement, they will not have to.

“I have a contract with Arsenal, I’m happy with the team,” he said “We are fighting for the top of the league.
