Arsenal Player Ratings vs West Brom: Walcott Shines And Gets The Best Rating

Share

Arsenal finished their league campaign with an Arsenal like performance as they scored four times to defeat West Bromwich Albion 4-1, Theo Walcott was the hero of the game as he scored a hat-trick and showed what Arsenal fans have been missing for most parts of the season. Jack Wilshere got the final goal for the Gunners as they gear up for the FA Cup final against Aston Villa and hopefully look to retain their trophy.

Walcott

We look at the Arsenal players and rate their performance from the last game of the season.

David Ospina: 6/10

A real poor display for the goal conceded and he could have conceded another goal, Ospina has to buck up or he could be finding himself on the bench next season.

Hector Bellerin: 7/10

Another good showing by the youngster, Bellerin looks like a player who has been playing for the club for a long time.

Per Mertesacker: 7/10

Possibly playing his last Premier League game for the club, Per was his usual rock solid and maybe these performances could make up Arsene’s mind of keeping the German for next season also.

Gabriel Paulista: 8/10

Another decent showing by the Brazilian. Sets him up perfectly for next season as he looks to play a bigger role for Arsenal.

Kieran Gibbs: 6/10

Gibbs seems to be coming off an injury and he didn’t really do much in the game, seems like he needs some more time to recover.

Francis Coquelin: 7/10

Yet another tough and dogged display in midfield, Coquelin has been wonderful for Arsenal this season and should be starting the final of the FA Cup as well.

Santi Cazorla: 8/10

Arsenal fans will be hoping to see more of Santi next season, hopefully he will stay at the club and maybe another FA Cup winners’ medal will change his mind into staying in London.

Mesut Ozil: 7/10

Ozil did a decent job this afternoon, he didn’t set the world on fire and maybe was looking to save some batteries for the FA Cup final, no one would want to miss that.

Jack Wilshere: 9/10

Scored a magnificent goal for the club and hopefully he will stay fit and play and score more goals next season.

Alexis Sanchez: 7/10

Maybe he needs a bit of a rest but the goals have dried up for Sanchez, he could change that in the final game of the season, at least Arsenal fans would be hoping for that.

Theo Walcott: 10/10

Well, getting a 10/10 is pretty tough but Walcott was exceptional in the first half when he scored his hat-trick.

Substitutes

Aaron Ramsey: 7/10

Ramsey could have scored a brace himself and will consider himself unlucky not to be on the score sheet.

Olivier Giroud: 6/10

A rather average showing by Giroud, it could cost him his place in the final of the FA Cup.

Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain: 6/10

Came on as a substitute and got some minutes under his belt.
