Arsenal finally seem to be poised to sign someone in the transfer window, a player who can play as a centre back or a defensive midfielder but before Gunner fans go out and celebrate, they will not be signing a known midfielder or defender who can provide them with a solution to their problems but a young player who had just broken into the first team squad.
Arsenal seem poised to sign Krystian Bielik, the 17 year old prodigy at Legia Warsaw. Who is he? Well that is something that we are here to answer.
A Polish prodigy
A player who is coming out from Poland might have been something of a big deal a few years back but now Poland are coming back into the news with quite a few players coming through their system. Bielik started off his career at Lech Poznan and then signed for Legia only last season. Bielik is 6 feet 2 inches tall and can play both in defence and midfield. He has been compared to a young Nemanja Matic at times, the current Matic, not the one that Chelsea bought a few seasons back. Bielik is comfortable on the ball and cane make a few passes to play himself out of trouble.
He isn’t gifted with pace but then again he doesn’t need a lot of pace to play as a centre back but it is still too early to say about his speed and agility since his body is still developing and that is the biggest asset that Bielik has. He is considered to be a great talent and he still has time to grow and become better at what he does. Joining Arsenal might not mean that he gets first team football now but he will learn and grow at the club.
Arsene Wenger has the ability to help players grow and hopefully he will get more chances to play unlike Joel Campbell, who had spent quite a lot of time on loan and still has not broken in yet. Patience seems to be the key for Arsenal and Bielik.
