The season might have just started and is on course to enter the busy festive period in a fortnight, but Chelsea’s new signing and former Arsenal captain Cesc Fabregas is on course to beat the number of assists made by a player in a single Premier League season, which currently belongs to Arsenal legend Thierry Henry.
The PremierLeague.com has put together a graph showing Fabregas’s performances this season comparing with Frank Lampard’s 04/05 season and Henry’s 02/03 season.
Thanks to the form of Fabregas and Diego Costa, Chelsea have made a blistering start to the season standing on top of the table, four points clear of second placed Southampton.
Going by the above table, Fabregas is well on course to beat his former Arsenal team mate Henry. The Spaniard has so far contributed 9 assists in the 11 appearances he has made in a Blue shirt.
