Alcantara And Kimmich To Start – Predicted 4-3-3 Bayern Munich Line-Up To Face Rostov

Share

The Bundesliga giants visit Russian Premier League side Rostov, in their 5th Group D Champions League fixture of the season, and only a win can assure them of having a slight chance of finishing top of the lot.

Bayern Munich are currently 3 points adrift group toppers Atletico, having lost 1 of their fixtures, and Ancelotti will most probably name his best available starting XI to take on the Russians as he hopes to get his side out of a tight corner ahead of a final group game against the La Liga powerhouse.

Formation : 4-3-3

GK – Neuer

The German has kept only a clean sheet in Europe this term, and it came in the 5-nil win over the Russians in September’s 1st leg.

Will he be able to keep his 2nd against them on a very cold evening in Russia?

LB – Alaba

The Austria international full-back has played every minute of the Bavarians European campaign thus far and has weighed in 2 assists already.

Will definitely be hoping to do more on Wednesday.

CB – Hummels

The centre-half has established a solid partnership with Boateng at the heart of the defence of the German giants and should make his 5th European appearance against Rostov.

CB – Boateng

Bundesliga’s best defender has had to battle some fitness issues this term, but has now attained full fitness and returned to Munich setup.

He should make his 4th Champions League appearance at Russia.

RB – Lahm

The side’s skipper is like fine wine – getting better with age, and has been excellent this season at 33.

Should be making an appearance against the Russians as he continues to give his best and racks up numerous Champions League features.

CML – Alcantara

Thiago is gradually becoming a mainstay in Bayern’s midfield and has played thrice on the continent this season.

The skilful Spaniard should be getting another start on Wednesday evening having been in his best form and full fitness this campaign.

CMC – Alonso

The ageless Xabi is the heart of Ancelotti’s midfield and is set to play a big role in this season’s Champions League campaign.

The Ex-Spain international is the most experienced and decorated in the competition within the squad and would be looking to add a 3rd winners medal in the competition this season.

CMR – Kimmich

The youngster already has 3 goals in the competition this term in 4 fixtures, and could add more to the tally against Rostov having bagged a brace against them in the first leg.

LW- Ribery

The French international has attained full fitness following his injury woes of the past seasons and having made just 2 appearances in the competition with an assist to his name, he could be getting another looking in on Wednesday.

CF – Lewandowski

With 4 goals to his credit already, the Pole remains the club’s best source for supplying the goals and should get another 90 minutes in Russia having played every minute of the last 4 games.

RW – Muller

The versatile forward has scored twice in Europe this season playing on the wings and should also be named in the starting lineup against Rostov.
