After Social Media Hint, Manchester United Star Completes Transfer

Share

Manchester United fans, no need to worry. We are not talking about David De Gea here. Not even the second choice Sergio Romero. Yeah this is about the “long time no see” Victor Valdes.

The Mirror has revealed that Victor Valdes is following Middlesbrough on twitter. Its not a big deal you may think but if you look at Valdes’ account you will see that the 34 year old goalkeeper only followed three clubs so far. Standard Liege, Barcelona and Manchester United. What is the common denominator for these three clubs? Well he has played in all three.

Thus don’t blame us for bringing you this news as it is almost likely that Valdes will leave Manchester United this summer and we will not blame him if he joins Middlesbrough. The Spaniard won every possible trophy in his career but has made only two appearances for the United team. Given his age, he still has another 4-5 years left in his career and he should look to spend it somewhere he is needed.

Transfer Update:

It has been confirmed a few hours earlier that the former Man United and Barcelona shot-stopper has in fact moved to Middlesbrough.

“You can’t imagine how delighted I am because it’s not usual to bring players like him to recently promoted teams,” said head coach Aitor Karanka.

Karanka told the club’s official website: “He knows how strong this group is. It’s a privilege for us to be able to bring a player like this to the club.”

Valdes has more than 100 champions league games under his belt and will bring immense experience to the newly promoted Middlesbrough, who have completed their 5th signing of the summer with the purchase of Valdes.
