Hull City restored some of the lost confidence when they comfortably beat Ipswich Town 2-0 on Saturday at the KCOM Stadium. Manager Nigel Adkins would be delighted with the result after enduring a mediocre start to the season.
Next up for the Tigers is a tricky trip away to Wigan Athletic on Tuesday night. The Latics are six places above their opponents in the table and will be looking to make amends after a disappointing loss in the weekend.
Stephen Kingsley injured his rib on Saturday and might be out of action for at least two to three weeks. Ondrej Mazuch has returned to training but may not be in action on Tuesday. Dan Batty was also an injury recipient on Saturday and may not take the field against Wigan. Meanwhile, James Weir is still far away from returning.
Marshall has been one of the standout performers for Hull this season. Deservingly got an easy afternoon on Saturday.
Switched to right-back to cover for the loss of Eric Lichaj and did very well. Expect him to start there on Tuesday.
A solid start for Elphick after joining on loan from Aston Villa. Hull fans would be hoping he forms a good partnership with De Wijs.
A fantastic performance last time out and the Dutchman looked comfortable alongside Elphick.
The Chelsea loanee can play at left-back if required. With Kingsley expected to be out, Adkins may hand a start to Todd Kane.
Was on the bench on Saturday, however, he has done well whenever he has been given the opportunity. He probably deserves a chance for this game.
The skipper has improved his form and was very good against Ipswich Town. Hull would hope more of the same from the main man.
The former Liverpool midfielder might get a run out in this game with Batty expected to be out.
Bowen has been one of the major threats in the Hull ranks. He was very good at the weekend and Adkins would hope for a similar impact from him again.
Showed touches of class against Ipswich, which proved he is slowly getting his form back.
