No Lacazette, no problem – 3 ideal FPL replacements for the injured Arsenal star including £8.7m in-form Chelsea star

Three ideal FPL replacements for Alexandre Lacazette

Around 56,000 Fantasy Premier League managers have already offloaded Arsenal striker Alexandre Lacazette after word came out that the Frenchman has suffered a groin injury.

The former Lyon striker initially failed to make it to the France squad but an injury to Anthony Martial paved the way for him. But Lacazette then had to pull out due to his own fitness issues.

The French striker has been a huge asset for fantasy managers this season, tallying a total of 60 points in the first 12 gameweeks. His injury will definitely be a blow for many managers but here are three ideal replacements who can turn things around in the coming weeks.

Marko Arnautovic (West Ham United)

No team has a better run of fixtures than West Ham United at the moment. The Hammers face Manchester City this weekend and then have a run of pleasing fixtures all the way until gameweek 21, which will see them face just one team above 3 in the fixture difficulty ranking.

Marko Arnautovic

The Austrian has 5 goals and 2 assists this season. He picked up 12 points in the last home game as well and is now priced at £7.1million. Bringing him in will certainly help the managers save a few bucks from Lacazette’s transfer.

Sergio Aguero (Manchester City)

One of the premium options but the Argentine has been extremely consistent this season. He has delivered returns in every home game this season and is the top scorer in the Premier League with 8 goals and 6 assists.

Though the champions have a tricky run of games coming up, their assets have always been fixture proof this season. It’s just a matter of picking the right player, someone who is not in rotational risk under Pep Guardiola, and one man is Aguero. However, the managers might have to face the risk of the striker being taken off after 60 minutes.

Alvaro Morata (Chelsea)

No striker has scored more goals than Alvaro Morata in the last 4 gameweeks, with the Spaniard scoring 4 goals in that time, including a brace against Crystal Palace that saw him rack up 13 points. Priced at £8.7million, Morata is one of the cheapest in-form strikers out there at the moment.

Marcos Alonso

His underlying statistics show that he is receiving the chances up front but it’s just a matter of finishing touch which has been lacking. Over the last few weeks though, he does seem to be doing well. Chelsea have a decent run of fixtures too and managers should bring in the Blues forward before his price rises further.
