An exciting weekend of Premier League action awaits us, with the top four facing off on super Sunday. League leaders Leicester City travel to London to face 3rd placed Arsenal, before Manchester City welcome 2nd placed Tottenham to the Etihad stadium later in the day. On Sunday struggling Liverpool side travel to Aston Villa who are looking to make the great escape from the bottom of the table. On Saturday we have seven matches, including Manchester United’s trip to Sunderland and Chelsea going up against Newcastle at Stamford Bridge. It is very critical week in the title run in, one which could separate the top four from the rest.
Southampton hasn’t conceded a goal since their number one keeper returned from injury 5 matches ago. Swansea has improved slightly off late but one feels they will have a real tough time trying to beat the English keeper. Foster was superb against the Gunners a fortnight ago and looks to be in top form going into this weekend.
2. Emmanuel Adebayor (Crystal Palace)
If you want to be a little adventurous this weekend, then Adebayor is the perfect choice. Palace’s January signing looks to have regained his match sharpness and should start against Watford on Saturday. Palace are currently struggling to score goals, hence getting on the score sheet would be a perfect way for Adebayor to introduce himself to his new fans.
3. Jesse Lingard (Manchester United)
Lingard is high on confidence after scoring a beautiful goal against Chelsea last weekend. With his low price, he is slowly becoming every Fantasy Premier League player’s favorite. United will be up against a struggling Sunderland team and with Lingard in good form, one expects manager Van Gaal to pick him for the role on the right wing.
4. Dimitri Payet (West Ham United)
If he hadn’t suffered an injury mid-way through the season, he would have definitely been the signing of the season. It is astounding that West Ham were able to pick up this talented Frenchman for just 12 million pounds. His passing, vision and eye for goal is superb and Norwich will struggle to contain him this weekend.
5. Diego Costa (Chelsea)
Costa has improved vastly after a difficult start to the season but since the departure of Jose Mourinho, the Spanish striker has been on fire. Although Chelsea are struggling at home this season, one expects them to get the better of Newcastle and Costa to get on the scoresheet.
