4 Explosive Replacements For Arsenal’s Theo Walcott: Time For This Liverpool Speedster To Come In?

Share

The need for pacey explosive wingers at Arsenal or any other club can never be understated, Arsenal are known for their quick attack and having fast wingers is the perfect foil to ensure they score the goals they need. Unfortunately for Theo Walcott, his playing time at Arsenal has reduced ever since the injury he picked up against Tottenham in the FA Cup win last season and he has not been able to find the form which saw him score goals last season.

Arsenal might need to make a switch for Walcott as they can’t seem to get the best out of him and in this world of football, results and performances only count, there is no place for emotion, so we look at 4 players who could replace Walcott at Arsenal.

1. Raheem Sterling

Raheem Sterling

It seems only a matter of time before Sterling leaves Liverpool, he seems to have burned the bridges at the club and would be looking to fashion a move away from Anfield. This could act as the perfect foil to ensure a move to Arsenal, Liverpool need a winger and Arsenal have someone who has loads of experience, the only issue would be the price and if Liverpool would want to sell to a rival, after all they didn’t sell Suarez when they matched the buy-out clause.

2. Marco Reus

The replacement that everyone wants to have at their club, ever since Klopp decided to leave Dortmund everyone has been expecting a mass exodus at the club and Reus could be one of the top players who could be leaving the club. He did  sign a new contract at the start of this year, but that would only mean that Arsenal have to pay a bit more than normal to sign the player up from Germany.

3. Paulo Dybala

Dybala can play as a striker or a winger and could be a big thing in the future, the youngster has been explosive for Palermo and has scored more than 10 goals this season, that might be a little hard to take into account about a league which isn’t as physical but he would be an amazing signing nonetheless for Arsenal, the 40 million Euro price tag might be a bit much, but that is the price you need to pay for talent.

4. Sadio Mane

The 23-year-old winger scored the fastest Premier League hat-trick against Aston Villa in the weekend and could be looking to make a big money move to a top club. Sadio is fast and has an eye for goal plus he is a hard worker and has had an excellent season for Southampton, he could make the move to Arsenal and would be a great replacement for Walcott, though he hasn’t spent a lot of time playing in the Premier League.
