Although his main strength is with the ball, Jordan isn’t the one to shy away from defensive duties and always helps out the defence with his work rate.
His offensive skills make him a joy to watch. He possesses quick feet and is an intelligent customer who rarely makes bad decisions. Jordan’s technical ability is brilliant like any other promising Spaniard and he uses his ability to switch the play with ease.
Jordan’s use of space with or without the ball has been very impressive and he also has a solid shot in him as proven on multiple occasions by having pops at goal from distance.
Jordan has thrived in the high press system of Jose Luis Mendilibar and being used to the high intensity, he won’t find it hard to adjust in the Premier League.
The Spaniard averages 1.6 tackles per game, which is a brilliant figure for an attack-minded midfielder, and he will only improve as he gets more experience.
Jordan also averages 1.7 shots at goal and 1.9 key passes per game so far this season with a stunning 4.5 long balls per 90 minutes. (WhoScored)
Watford would be making a smart move if they were to sign Joan Jordan, a proven player who does his job perfectly. His ability to occupy and create space in the final third will be of massive importance, especially with the likes of Pereyra and Deulofeu making dangerous runs either side of him.
