33 Chances Created in 33 Games – 3 Reasons Why Manchester United Should Never Sell This Super Belgian Talent

Share

Manchester United have one of the best attacking squads in the Premier League and they have spent a fortune building it this season. So enriched is their squad that now they have to sell away Juan Mata to keep the balance of the squad intact. Mata has not been getting regular playing time and it is being rumoured that Juventus are interested in the Spaniard’s services. We need to watch for the January transfer window to find out if there is an iota of truth in that statement, but it is true that Wayne Rooney has been playing behind the striker in recent times.

Adnan Januzaj

With a galaxy of stars like Wayne Rooney, Falcao, Robin van Persie and di Maria, it is a given fact that the youngsters would not get as much opportunity as they would have liked. But still it is important for Manchester United to keep encouraging their young players and giving them the odd opportunities to shine and prove themselves. One such player is Adnan Januzaj who was a revelation last season and Moyes gave him plenty of chances in the first team. Although we can’t see much of him nowadays, here are some reasons why United should keep hold of him.

1. Early days for Falcao

Colombian superstar Radamel Falcao has joined Manchester United from Monaco this season on a season long loan and United have that buy-out clause on him. After reviewing their performance they may decide to keep him next season. But there is a chance that he disappoints everyone and United decide to let him go, in which circumstances Rooney would join Rvp in the striker’s position and there might be room for Januzaj in the midfield. With Mata’s departure almost certain in January, Januzaj may turn out to be vital player for them in the future.

2. Returns on him

Adnan Januzaj is a Manchester United youth product who has all the qualities of being a top superstar in the future. So deep has been his impact last season, that he was included in the Belgium World Cup squad that played in Brazil. Even at this tender age, he has already featured in 33 premier league games and created 33 key chances for his team mates. He also has 4 premier league goals under his belt. If Manchester United can hold on to him for a longer period of time, they are sure to make a return on him, if ever they sell him. There would be clubs around Europe who would be willing to pay a huge sum of money on a premium talent like him and United should grab that opportunity.

3. Avoid Pogba situation

Paul Pogba was one of the most talented Manchester United youngsters when Sir Alex Ferguson decided to let him go to Juventus. Since then he has been a world class player and the main man for the Italian side in the centre of the park. Till today the fans and media lament about the fact how Ferguson gave Pogba away so cheaply who could have been an instant answer to all their midfield problems. The same mistake should not be made about Januzaj for which the United management has to repent at a later stage.
