3 Top-class strikers who can fire Everton to a top-6 finish this season including this PL machine

Three strikers Everton must consider signing in January

Everton have found goals hard to come by at times this season, with the strikers lacking the ruthlessness in front of the goal.

Cenk Tosun has only scored one goal in the league so far, failing to put away a number of chances in the 3-1 defeat to West Ham earlier this month. The Turkish striker was dropped to the bench against Arsenal as Marco Silva handed Dominic Calvert-Lewin a start but the youngster too missed a guilt-edged chance in a 2-0 defeat last weekend.

Other than Tosun and Calvert-Lewin, Silva has Oumar Niasse in his attacking ranks but the Senegalese has been equally inefficient in front of the goal this term.

Everton’s lack of firepower in the forward department has been evident for all to see. Not since last season have they had a striker banging goals in left, right and centre.

Silva just cannot rely on his current crop of strikers to reach the top six and here are three potential strikers Everton must look to bring in once the transfer window reopens.

Troy Deeney (Watford)

Everton must look out for a clinical striker in January and Silva would do a lot worse than sign Watford skipper Troy Deeney.

Troy Deeney

Deeney, 30, is a proven Premier League striker, and his physicality and clinical finishing would perfectly fit the bill at Goodison Park.

He has continued to fire on all cylinders for Watford this season and though the Englishman is slightly old, he could be quite a frightening prospect for teams lining up against the Merseysiders.

Andrej Kramaric (Hoffenheim)

He may have had a forgettable stint at Leicester City but Andrej Kramaric has enjoyed a meteoric rise at Bundesliga club Hoffenheim.

The 27-year-old had a fine World Cup as Croatia reached the finals in Russia, only to lose to France. The Croatian is quick, agile, powerful in the air, has a rocket of a shot and is a poacher in the box.

He has scored some brilliant goals for Hoffenheim in the last couple of seasons and would be perfect for Everton.

Nicolai Jorgensen (Feyenoord)

Denmark international Nicolai Jorgensen plundered 25 goals in his debut season in Holland following a switch from FC Copenhagen in 2016, and while he is yet to open his account this season, the 27-year-old has everything within his locker to be an able Premier League striker.

Jorgensen is a real handful in the Dutch league and has the physique to deal with the Premier League’s toughest defenders.

He is at the prime of his career and would be a steal for the Toffees should they secure his signature his January.
