3 Reasons Why This Super English Winger Should Stay With Liverpool

Share

The contract saga between Raheem Sterling and Liverpool doesn’t seem to have seen its fair share of drama yet, currently at an impasse, the English winger is being scouted by some of the best clubs in the world. Real Madrid are reported to be interested in bringing the Englishman or at least having the Englishman at their club.

Raheem Sterling

Sterling for his part has done pretty well recently; he was good against Manchester United only being denied by probably the best goalkeeper in the Premier League and scored a brace against Bournemouth in the Capital One Cup.

No matter what offers come in for Sterling, he should remain at Liverpool for the foreseeable future and here are 3 reasons why.

Brendan knows Sterling’s play

Raheem Sterling might have been a Rafa purchase but it was Brendan Rodgers who decided to play with the youngster and last season he exploded onto the scene, scoring goals and scaring defenders with his pace and movement.

He went through a bad patch recently but has bounced back with his performances. Rodgers was the one who played Sterling initially in the wings and then behind the strikers which led to the attacker even making his debut for the England national team. There isn’t a manager that knows Sterling as well as Rodgers does and moving away would only hamper his growth into becoming a better player.

Getting playing time

Moving to Real Madrid would mean playing in some starry games but Raheem Sterling would never start or play in as many games as he does for Liverpool. At Liverpool he is a first team player and has played almost every game this season, at any other top club he would end up being on the bench because of the plethora of talent at the respective clubs.

The more time he spends on the pitch playing against top level opposition, the better it is for his growth and career, ending up on the bench and playing a handful of games will not help the 20 year old English attacker become any better.

Liverpool is home

Raheem has become a darling at Liverpool and has seen himself skyrocket into fame, he is only 20 years and his rise to fame should not go to his head. Sterling is acclimatized to the Premier League and moving out at such a young age isn’t the smartest move for any player yet alone for someone who is so young and maturing.

Sterling needs time to grow at one club and he has finally broken into the team at Liverpool and consolidated his position in the team and for his national team and he shouldn’t move away from Liverpool anytime soon.
