3 Reasons Why Arsenal Will Beat Manchester United This Weekend

Share

The Premier League is back again this weekend and the clash on which everyone’s eyes will be on will definitely be the one at the Emirates Stadium as Arsenal play host to their long standing rivals Manchester United. Although Arsenal are the favourites for this match and rightfully so, the mental block that Arsenal has when facing United post 2007 means that this game is by no means a foregone conclusion. This is a game which will go down to the absolute wire and here at Soccersouls we have listed the three reasons why Arsenal will beat Manchester United this weekend.

1. The injuries at Manchester United is just too much at the moment:

Marcos Rojo

No matter how we look at it, the fact that Manchester United have 12 players out with injuries is nothing short of staggering. Also last night’s international friendlies have also not been any kinder as Luke Shaw and Angel Di Maria are also major doubts to face Arsenal to add to an already impressive injury list of Daley Blind, David De Gea, Michael Carrick, Marcos Rojo, Rafael, Falcao, Ashley Young, Phil Jones, Ander Herrera and Chris Smalling. When you consider the amount of wealth Manchester United has on it’s sidelines, it is almost criminal if Arsenal do not manage to win this one and that too at home. We expect that the injuries will make all the difference with Arsenal outclassing Manchester United with some ease.

2. The defensive shape has just not worked for Manchester United:

Louis Van Gaal

It is really strange that we have to talk about the defensive side of Manchester United not only not working but being in shambles given that the manager’s name is Louis Van Gaal who is such a master tactician. Off course the injuries have not helped but there is no denying that the constant changing of formations have not helped as admitted by the manager himself. In such a scenario, at home Arsenal should really have no problem disposing of Manchester United whose defence has been exploited to the tilt by almost every team which has faced them.

3. Arsenal just looks that bit stronger and they are at home:

First off, Arsenal’s record at the Emirates Stadium is beyond exceptional not only for this season but also for the last few seasons. It is almost inconceivable that any team will defeat Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium and given the state of the Manchester United team, a victory for the Arsenal team is very much expected here.

Also given the personal the North London side have at their disposal including Alexis Sanchez, Jack Wilshere, Aaron Ramsey etc it just feels like this is Arsenal’s match to lose.
