Cavani is simply one of the best strikers in the world and would take Arsenal back up to the level they were in 2006, meaning that the biggest trophies could become a realistic goal for Arsene Wengers men.

Arsenal are a team that creates a lot of chances, Mesut Ozil and Santi Cazorla are two of the brightest and most creative players in world football, and what they deserve is a striker who can take the majority of chances they work so hard to create. Current Arsenal starter Olivier Giroud has a rather feeble shot accuracy of 44% so far this season, meaning that over half of the chances given to him have been wasted. Cavani doesn’t have that problem, the Uruguayan striker has scored over 150 goals at club level at the age of 26, while at the age of 27, Giroud has struck the back of the net 106 times, almost half of those coming in the French second division.
