Trusting Players Like Fellaini: 3 Realistic Reasons Why LvG Must Be Sacked

Share

Manchester United, the team was supposed to go for the Premier League title this season, but what they are aiming is, a ‘Top Four Finish’. After spending loads of cash to buy superstars from around the Europe, the team is failing constantly. Call it injuries or blame the players’ poor form, this season has been the worst one for the Red Devils.

The start of the season was pretty nice as the team somehow managed to defeat Tottenham Hotspur on the opening day of the league and the fans really thought that this was going to be their year. As the league came to its conclusion, it was all clear that United will struggle to finish the campaign in the top four. A recent defeat against West Ham United at Upton mark might have demolished their aim as they are still behind of their city rivals who are currently fourth on the table and there is just one game to show for both the sides.

Manchester United never had problems in building up the game, the side enjoyed most of the possession in their games and very good in their passing, but what they lacked was their attacking intent. Anthoy Martial’s debut season gave United fans something to cheer about, but besides him, everyone from the team were poor in their attacking attribute. Even the skipper Wayne Rooney who was thought to be an inspiration for the young guns was very poor in everything he did.

Besides all this, the most hated man in the red section of the Manchester is surely the Dutch Gaffer Louis van Gaal. After a successful debut season with the Devils, the fans thought that the team would go higher this time. Nothing actually happened according to the plan for the manager and he currently is facing a heavy criticism from the United’s faithfuls. Yes, he did a great job by bringing the youth prospects in the senior side, but still, the team is not doing anything great this season.

Here are the 3 reason why Louis van Gaal must be sacked at the end of the season-

No “Philosophy”-

Manchester United fans have witnessed some great times at Old Trafford and even outside that. The team was confident, the team was considered as one of the Giants of Europe. After Sir Alex’s retirement, the magic and the era vanished.

Louis van Gaal bought his philosophy intact, but to be very honest, it is not at all working in the premier league. The team performed very well last season, but this season, the players looked lost. It seems that they are not at all aware of their roles. Almost every player is playing out of their natural position and that surely affects the performance of the team on the whole. The recent example is of Ashley Young, who was introduced in place of Marcus Rashford and the ex- Aston Villa man played as a central striker even when Anthony Martial was available on the pitch.

Whatever his philosophy is; it is taking the team to an opposite direction and Manchester United’s board cannot risk another year to favour van Gaal and his philosophy. Yes! Manchester United has won the major fixtures this season by defeating Liverpool, Arsenal and others, but with the arrival of Pep Guardiola and Antonio Conte, the Dutch manager will stand no chance in the coming season.

Trusting Players Like Fellaini-

Manchester United was the club that played a very creative and interesting football. The players played for the club and most importantly for the fans. To be very honest here, the current squad of Manchester United has lacked everything that the previous stars had. Most of their victories this season has been the lucky ones.

Fellaini had a good season under van Gaal last season, and even the fans appreciated the Belgian for his performance. But coming to this year’s contribution, he has done nothing. It is very obvious that United will go for the long ball ‘philosophy’ if Fellaini is introduced and it is the same story that has been running from the start of the season. Besides scoring goals, elbowing the opponents he has not done anything good.

LvG’s staying will affect Manchester United’s Global reputation-

This is one of the main reasons why Louis van Gaal must be sacked in the first place. At the time of Alex Ferguson or even David Moyes, United’s fan base hit the storm and it was declared that it is Manchester United who has the largest fan support from around the globe.

What a new football fan is attracted towards is the Club’s success. And we all know what Manchester United have achieved during the Dutchman’s tenure. Even the club has observed a decline in their finances in recent times. Big companies around the world will invest only if you have a strong and a large fan base. Yes! United still have a great fan support, but keeping the future prospect in mind, it is written on the rock, that United will go through what Liverpool experienced in their last 10 years.

Fans’ support will surely decline and that will affect the finances again and then, the total worth of the club will go down as well. With van Gaal at United’s side, the future is surely in danger in terms of the finances.
