With Huddersfield Town officially relegated, they could undergo a mass exodus and that will hurt the club. But it’s one that they have to go through, especially if they are to make it through the Championship over the next few seasons.
Jonas Lossl is the prime candidate to leave, having officially confirmed the same. The 30-year-old has done relatively well for the club but given their issues across the board, it’s no surprise that the Danish star is looking for a way out.
However, he is still a good goalkeeper and thus, has a future in the Premier League.
The Toffees are the top side linked with a move for Jonas Lossl and while a move would see him play second string, it’s one that will only help the club. While Jordan Pickford is their first-choice star, beyond him, Everton do not have too much help.
Maarten Stekelenburg has done a decent job but at the age of 36, there is only so much the Dutch international can do after that. Someone like Jonas Lossl, on the other hand, will ease Pickford’s burden and offer the club a second option.
Pickford hasn’t been linked with an exit but all it takes is one injury and that would effectively change the course of Everton’s season.
Everyone knows exactly what happened to Crystal Palace and now with Julian Speroni retired, the Eagles need a brand new replacement. Jonas Lossl must be at the top of their shortlist and given his performances for Huddersfield last season and even parts of this season, it’s a no-brainer.
While manager Roy Hodgson does have Vicente Guaita and Wayne Hennessey at his disposal, both goalkeepers are well past the age of 30. Add that to their injury struggles over the course of the season and the club need another option.
Otherwise, things will get worse and that is clearly not something that the Eagles can handle in the near future. It’s also something that the club need to keep an eye out for and while they have been linked with a move for Jack Butland, Lossl would be the cheaper option.
While they did bring in Lukasz Fabianski last summer from Swansea City, the Hammers, like others on this list, need another option. The Polish international has been amongst their best players and yet with Adrian sitting on the sidelines, things could get dicey.
That is not something any manager should have to go through and Jonas Lossl would be absolutely perfect. The 30-year-old can be convinced to play second fiddle to Fabianski and at the same time, he could give the Pole just the competition he needs.

If nothing else, it would allow Manuel Pellegrini to rest Fabianski more and let Jonas Lossl spread his wings and fly.
