3 Managerial Changes Set To Rock The EPL

With the Premier League title wrapped up this year, all the clubs have already started to think about the next season. While we may see a number of players to come in and also go away from the league, we are also bound to see a few changes in the managers of some of the teams. We already have one confirmation in the managerial change with David Moyes set to take over Manchester United after 26 years of Sir Alex Ferguson era. But some of the other changes in the managerial position of the team that are bound to happen are discussed below.

Jose Mourinho- When Roman Abramovich appointed Rafa benitez as the interim manager of Chelsea, he made it very clear that Rafa was not being seen as a long term settlement and Roman would keep on his relentless efforts to lure Pep Giardiola to Chelsea. But as fortune would have it, Pep chose to snub Roman’s offer and opted for Bayern instead, leaving Roman with no other option but to try and bring the Special One, Jose Mourinho back to Chelsea. And as it turned out Jose was not feeling loved enough in Real Madrid and Roman’s offer came as a sense of relief for him. Therefore the shrewd tactician, who left Chelsea amid turbulent circumstances in 2007, is all set to return to his “Favourite” club and very soon we may see an official statement from both the parties.

Manuel Pellegrini- The sacking of Roberto Mancini was on the cards for a long time, but the FA Cup final defeat to Wigan finally put the last nail in the coffin. As per reports, Mancini is set to get the boot from his Manchester City bosses in a couple of days and the person tipped to take over from him in the next season is Malaga manager Manuel Pellegrini. Pellegrini’s performance with Malaga has made the world to take notice of this man and the former Real Madrid man is the next in line at the blue half of Manchester.

Roberto Martinez- He has performed exceptionally well for the team with the modest of resources, Wigan Athletics and his achievements got the required validation on 11^th May with Wigan beating Manchester City to win the FA Cup. The only person he can be compared to is David Moyes and that may be one of the primary reason for the Spanish to be made the frontrunner to succeed the Manchester United bound Everton boss. Martinez should also be provided a bigger platform for him to excel and Everton may just serve that purpose for him.
