3 Gambles That Manchester United Should Take In Terms Of Summer Transfers Including This Chelsea Target

Share

It’s better not to revise Manchester United’s 2015-16 season. They had a good start, but their form is deteriorating performance after performance. Their recent game against Norwich City was a complete waste. Players were playing out of their position and many questions were raised after their ‘Boring’ performance.

Well, just leave it there and discuss about what move should United take in the next transfer window. No one can argue over the point that United is one of the many clubs from England that needs to rebuild and many players from the squad needs to find another club.

United does need some new and fresh legs to compete for the title next year let alone the top 4, but they will have a difficult time as many of the big names would prefer a club with Champions League spot and let’s face it, United is not the team that deserves to be in the top 4 this season to be very honest.

And, here we are stating the 3 gambles that Manchester United should take in order to compete for the title next year-

Romelu Lukaku-

Everyone saw that coming isn’t it? Well, the Belgian striker may not be the most experienced in the world, but he has got the hunger to get the goals that United have been missing the entire season. It surely will be a gamble as we have seen at times that many players who enjoyed a quality time at their previous club, struggle to set a firm hand in the new one.

Talking about Lukaku, everyone in the world is aware of the fact, that the boy has made his the name all by himself. He has been exceptional in front of the goal. Even though Everton struggled in the second half of the season, the 22-year-old managed to score 18 goals all by himself in the premier league. The boy has all the experience that is needed to compete in the English league so surely, he will be a top quality player for United as he has the room to improve, and Manchester United will be the best stage to showcase the talent.

Hakan Calhanoglu-

It is a strange name, isn’t it? He hasn’t been the most popular name in the industry, but he is one of the best at what he does. The German-born Turkish ancestry player plays for German club Bayer Leverkusen. He has made 29 appearances for the side this term, and has scored 3 goals and has created 73 chances for the team. He is not the toughest one in terms of physicality, but he is one of the trickiest midfielders in Europe.

Manchester United was never short of creating chances, and many will argue over his name in the list, but I’m pretty sure that the player will bring a new dimension if he is given the stage to showcase. The German midfielder is known for his set-piece techniques and is famous for scoring the goals from a direct free kick. He is a pure playmaker who alongside Mata and Rooney can be proved as the most effective player in the league and that’s for sure. His style of play is quite similar to that of Mahrez and we have seen what a miracle he has done this season. He can operate the game from almost every midfield position and can be proved as a lethal weapon for United next season.

Miralem Pjanic-

An another underrated player in the industry. The Bosnian professional currently plays for the Italian side AS Roma. Before joining Italy, the player was constantly linked with a move to Manchester United, but somehow the deal collapsed. The 26-year-old still has his entire career to show for and a move away from Italy will give him the spotlight he deserves.

In his 31 appearances for Roma this season, he has scored 9 goals and has created 71 chances for the team and has recorded 9 assists to his name. Right at this very moment, he has been linked to Chelsea for a move, but I do believe that he would be the perfect one for Manchester United.

His work on the ball is just next to magic, he is the distributor for the team. United currently have Carrick for the same job, but to be very honest, how much time he has left now? Pjanic will be the perfect man to succeed Michael Carrick and a move for him would not be a waste for sure.

There have been some whispers about the player eyeing the premier league move, and if the reports are true, Manchester United should make a move as soon as possible.
