3 Explosive Replacements For Manchester City’s Goal Machine – Featuring A Manchester United Target

Share

Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City are finding some bright form this season with back to back victories in the last two games of the season. They are currently 10 points off Chelsea at the top of the table and have every chance of chasing them down and the manager will be pleased with the way his team has been playing recently.

But one player who is not impressing Guardiola this season is star striker Sergio Aguero. The Argentine hitman was expected to be integral personnel to the squad at the club, but Guardiola has pushed him onto the bench in recent occasions, using Gabriel Jesus in his position to good use. And rumours have now linked Aguero with an exit with the likes of Chelsea and Real Madrid already looking to sign him up. So who will Guardiola replace Aguero with – if he leaves? Logon to Comparethebets and  to predict the possible summer transfers.

Here are three plausible options for the Citizens this summer:

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang (Borussia Dortmund):

The Gabon international, who is now among the best strikers in the world, is already a target for Guardiola at the end of the season. The 27-year old is a lively figure who has all the skills in the book.  He is an excellent finisher, a supreme dribbler and an even better passer and there will be no team that would not want to add him to their squad. Aubameyang is hell bent on joining Real Madrid but if Zidane decides to spend on Aguero, it might give Guardiola a straight chance to snap the Dortmund man up come the end of the season.

Antoine Griezmann (Atletico Madrid):

Arguably the most attractive player in the summer, Griezmann is wanted by a number of top class clubs including Chelsea and Manchester United in England. Guardiola has also expressed his interested in the French international and if he decides to sell Aguero, Griezmann is not at all a bad option. Still continuing to score for fun, Griezmann is one of the few inform forwards this season and will be a great addition to Manchester City. His style of play will bode in well the one used at the Etihad and though he will not be cheap, he is an investment which is more than worth for the team.

Alvaro Morata (Real Madrid):

Though not an outright striker that Sergio Aguero is, Morata is more than capable of filling his shoes if given enough time. The 24-year old Spanish star has risen to the fore with his performances for Juventus but has lost some of his form moving back to the Bernabeu. Zinedine Zidane is happy to secure an exit in the summer and a number of clubs including Juventus and Chelsea are monitoring his situation. He is a skilful player who will surely be a great addition for Guardiola’s side and the manager might also be able to lure Real to sell to them, as they are buying Aguero from Manchester City. It is a transfer that can solve the problem of losing Aguero, and that for the long term.
