Youngsters that could make a difference in Arsenal next season

Arsenal is a club that always have star youngsters in their armoury . As the new season is about to begin we will have a look at the list of youngsters that could make a difference in their campaign

Jack Wilshere

Jack Wilshere who spent the entire season on the injury beds last season is finally up and running with reports saying he will be back to full fitness by September. The England international also had tweeted about his recovery saying that he is hitting the gym regularly and started kicking the ball again.

That surely is a big news for Arsenal fans. But after such a long gap from the game it won’t be easy for him to be back at his prime at least till the end of the year .So both wenger and the fans would be praying to see his best again in the Arsenal shirt. He would surely make a difference in the gunners midfield that missed a touch of creativity last season.

Alex oxlade-chamberlain

Alex oxlade-chamberlain or the OX as he is called by their fans is another example of wenger’s eye for young talents. Bought from Southampton , Chamberlain made his Arsenal debut against Manchester united in the disastrous match which they lost 8-2.

But as the season went on he continued to improve and showed glimpses of his class from time to time. His performances against A.C Milan in the champions league and the match against Manchester united in the return leg at emirates helped his case that also saw an international call for Euro 2012. From second division football in Southampton a year ago to being an England international the next year is not a small achievement.

Wenger used him effectively not allowing him to play full matches and giving him enough rest . Obviously he doesn’t want another Wilshere situation.

Chamberlain’s favoured position is in the middle of the pitch where he played in his early career , but the lad can be effective on the wings and can push Walcott and Gervinho for the starting berth. He certainly adds a new dimension up front for the Gunners.

Francis coquelin

Another French kid on the block and another potential French star in the making under Wenger’s era. After joining Arsenal in 2008 Coquelin went back to France on a season long loan to Ligue 1 side Lorient, cementing his place under Christian Gourcuff with a string of fine performances.

Francis made three Arsenal first-team appearances during 2009/10, having made his debut the previous season. He was also an integral part of the FA Youth Cup-winning side of 2009. Last year he showed his worth with several good performances in the Carling up and FA cup, his assist against Blackburn in the Premier league showed he can certainly go forward and join the attacks.

Young , talented and versatile player with a cool head and a desire to learn with every game is the right sort of player Arsenal need. His versatility of playing as a holding midfielder and a right back adds up to his case.

Ryo Miyaichi

An Asian player in Arsenal shirt is something that does not happen much, but Miyaichi from japan captured the eyes of Arsenal’s scout even when he was playing for a High School tournament in his Country. Signed in 2011 January he loaned out to Dutch side Feyenoord to gain valuable experience before touching down in the premier league.

Even with a successful loan campaign with Feyenoord it’s not enough for youngster who is just 19 years old to break in to Arsenal’s first team so Wenger decided him to loan him out again , but this time it was to Bolton. It was a good move for him and helped him learn about the game in England.

Miyaichi made 12 appearances providing 2 assists for Bolton. He may again be sent out loan but still is a good candidate to play for the cup games .
