While Liverpool and Real Madrid are locked in a battle to sign Joao Mario from Sporting Lisbon, a Real youngster, Martin Odegaard is said to be looking to move to Anfield on a loan move.
According to the reports, the 17-year-old is looking for regular football to develop further and with his chances at Bernabeu limited, is looking for some first team football. The player has earlier spent a while at Liverpool when his future was not decided and eventually moved to Madrid. However, he is said to be keen for a temporary switch to Liverpool, having experienced life at Merseyside earlier.
While there are reports that the player could be loaned to a Bundesliga side after the USA tour, Odegaard is apparently waiting for an offer from Jurgen Klopp. The only roadblock seems to be the staggering £1.2 million salary the player will have to be paid by Liverpool.
