According to reports in Sky Italia, Amadou Diawara has declined another offer from Wolverhampton Wanderers as the side from the Molineux continue to look to strengthen their side for the forthcoming Europa League qualifiers, while also hoping to strengthen the squad after a very impressive 2018/19 season.
This will come as a blow to some of the Wolves fans but they can’t stop themselves in their pursuit of elite talent.
There is a great opportunity this season to make it into the top-4 with Chelsea, Arsenal and Manchester United having seasons where they’re trying to build from the ground up and Wolves should do everything they can to capitalize on their weaknesses.
Wolves were magnificent against some of the top-6 sides in the Premier League last season and will have no fear going into it next season but will feel that they could still use some quality, as there is a possibility of playing far more games than they did last year.
Nuno Espírito Santo often named an unchanged squad for most games but that’ll not be sustainable for another season.
Amadou Diawara is a great player to have in the squad. The midfielder from Napoli is a very talented young prospect but hasn’t had enough chances under Carlo Ancelotti to progress his game.
The midfielder is a great passer and has the mobility to play in a deep-lying role, dictating play and anchoring the defence. He was often used under Maurizio Sarri as a deputy to Jorginho and fits a similar profile to the Italian international.
Joao Moutinho was fantastic last year and played a lot of games but his legs are ageing and with the number of games that Wolves could potentially have next season, it would be brutal on the Portuguese international to be playing every game in the season.
He’ll need to be rested in as many games as he can possibly can and Diawara would be perfect alongside the veteran or as a replacement.
Wolves could form an outstanding midfield that beats the one they had last year, with Diawara alongside Ruben Neves and Joao Moutinho. They would get enough offensive and defensive ability in their midfield.

This would be a great signing for Wolves and they need to do whatever they can to get this deal over the line.
