How Watford could line up with Ben Foster, Ken Sema and other new signings in the team

Watford endured a frustrating season last time out, finishing 14th in the league. They amassed a total of 41 points across the campaign.

The Hornets sacked manager Marco Silva in January after a string of poor performances. New manager Javi Gracia was brought in and the Spanish coach drastically reduced the damage.

The coach has been busy in the market so far, making a number of new additions to bolster the squad. The club have already signed 23-year-old Spanish winger Gerard Deulofeu and full-back Marc Navarro.

Watford have also completed deals for West Brom goalkeeper Ben Foster and Oestersunds winger Ken Sema.

Here we take a look at how the Hornets could line up next season with the new signings in the team.

Watford Probable XI

Manager: Javi Gracia

Formation: 4-3-3

Ben Foster (GK)

The Hornets’ new signing is one of the best goalkeepers in the Premier League. He is surely going to play a huge role for Watford next season.

Ben Foster

Marc Navarro (RB)

The right-back was signed after an impressive campaign with Espanyol last season. Watford were defensively fragile last season and the 23-year-old could help stabilise the defence a bit.

Christian Kabasele (CB)

He made 27 appearances for the Hornets last season, scoring 2 goals in the process. The defender was one of their standout players last campaign and should start this time around as well.

Sebastian Prodl (CB)

Another ever-present in the Hornets’ backline. He should start alongside Kabasele.

Jose Holebas (LB)

The Greek left-back made a total of 26 appearances last season, providing 4 assists in the process. He was a huge attacking threat down the left-hand side and Gracia should certainly go with him once again.

Abdoulaye Doucoure

Tom Cleverley (LCM)

The former Manchester United man is their creative presence in the middle of the park and will surely play a huge role next season.

Abdoulaye Doucoure (CM)

Doucoure enjoyed a splendid campaign with Watford last season. He was the Hornets’ engine in the middle of the park and displayed excellent work rate. He will be a sure starter under the new manager.

Nathaniel Chalobah (RCM)

The former Chelsea player had a decent campaign with the Hornets last season but showed tons of potential. He should be given a regular run in the squad.

Gerard Deulofeu (LW)

Deulofeu was signed on a permanent deal after a successful loan stint with the club. The player was a huge threat for the Hornets and is capable of playing in a central attacking midfield role.

Gerard Deulofeu

Andre Gray (ST)

The striker scored 5 goals and provided 2 assists in 16 appearances last season. He is finally hitting his prime and could unleash his full potential next season.
