TRANSFER BATTLE! Manchester United And Liverpool To Go Head-to-Head For This Superstar Left-back

Manchester United News

According to a report by talkSPORT, Premier League giants Manchester United and Liverpool are keeping tabs on PSV Eindhoven defender Jetro Willems. Based on speculations from the Netherlands, there were claims that the 21-year-old superstar has been stalling talks about a new deal with the Eredivisie club which has alerted the English duo.

The youngster is at present out with a knee injury and can hopefully return to full fitness, prior to having any contract talks.

Despite that, there is still a possibility that he might make the switch to England and join former team-mate Memphis Depay, with the Red Devils keen on adding more defensive options after the horrific injury to Luke Shaw.

United boss Louis van Gaal has a good relationship with the officials of the Dutch outfit and if the Manchester based side do push for a deal, it could surely happen in the January transfer window, though Liverpool will be keen on not letting that happen.
