The Premier League was back in action this weekend and the biggest game ended in a goalless draw with Chelsea coming home with a point against Tottenham. The other big news was Jurgen Klopp getting his first win at Anfield in the league and Jamie Vardy scoring in his 11th consecutive game against Manchester United and setting a new record.
Arsenal drew away to Norwich and also got Alexis Sanchez injured while Manchester City recorded an impressive 3-1 win over Southampton to go back to the top of the league. We look back at game week 14 which was filled with a ton of goals to list out the 5 players who were the best passers for their teams.
Kevin de Bruyne – Manchester City
Kevin de Bruyne is slowly but surely making his mark for the City team. He had a slow start to his career in Manchester, but he did play a starring role in the 3-1 win over the Saints. The Belgian had an 86% pass accuracy and also provided a couple of assists in the game. Manchester City will be hopeful of such a run continuing as his form could well push them towards the title, especially with Sergio Aguero still not looking match fit.
Ross Barkley – Everton
The Everton midfielder was at his best once again, it seemed that he had gotten the Toffees all three points with his stoppage time goal against Bournemouth but had to settle with just one. The English midfielder also recorded an assist and three key passes plus his pass accuracy of 88% was one of the highest for all players in the league from this game week.
Yannick Bolasie – Crystal Palace
The chief tormentor of Alan Pardew’s former team, Bolasie was a thorn for Newcastle as he helped Palace thrash them 5-1. Bolasie got his name on the goal scoring charts twice against the Toons and had a pass accuracy of 83. He even made 33 successful passes and recorded a couple of key passes in the hammering.
Andrew Surman – Bournemouth
Probably the most entertaining game of the weekend saw the 3-3 draw between Bournemouth and Everton. Surman was one of the stars for the home team as he recorded an 85% pass accuracy and 83 successful passes while also nothing up one key pass in the magnificent draw for Bournemouth.
Manuel Lanzini – West Ham United
The West Ham star just keeps getting better and better, he had a pass accuracy of 91% against West Brom and also recorded three key passes in the game. His form will be incredibly important for them in this run-up, especially since the London club are without Dimitri Payet.
