Arsenal are one of the top clubs in the world, sure they might not have won the Premier League in over a decade or even lifted the Champions League in their history but no one can run a club like Arsene Wenger, especially when building a new stadium with tight purse strings, he constantly got the Gunners into the Champions League.
This season could have been theirs for the taking and they still have the time to do it but they have lost a lot of ground on Leicester City and the downfall this season started once again when they lost to Chelsea at home. He is one of the few players that actually got Arsenal a huge price when he was sold on. Overmars is another player who ended up joining Barcelona and the Dutchman was a revelation in La Liga. He was part of a team that consisted many Dutch players and his four years at Barcelona from 2000-2004 he was one of the best players at the club, even though he didn’t win much with the Catalan giants.
3. Sylvinho
What is it with Arsenal players moving to Barcelona? Sylvinho took a similar approach but his route had a detour and that was Celta Vigo. The Brazilian did make the jump to Barcelona in 2004 and won three La Liga titles and two Champions League crowns with the La Liga giants.
2. Patrick Vieira
One of the hardest tacklers in the game and certainly not one to back down, it was quite a shock to see the French midfielder sold to Juventus in 2005 and when the Old Lady were relegated for their part in the match-fixing scandal, he joined Inter Milan and there he enjoyed some of his best years. He won three Serie A titles and the even won an FA Cup with Manchester City when he joined them in 2010.
Cashley Cole, as he is referred to might not be the most loved Arsenal player out there but he certainly was one of the best left-backs even when he left the Gunners for bitter rivals Chelsea in 2006.
