Top 3 Youngsters To Watch Out For This Season Including Liverpool & Tottenham Youngsters

Share

The transfer season is over and now all the teams have their squads ready. And this season could be termed as special as the teams have brought in a number of world class players. The likes of Falcao, di Maria, Diego Costa, Sanchez have committed their future to the English clubs, while Balotelli and Fabregas have rejoined the English Premier League. This has made the EPL a lot more interesting and now the attention of the whole world would be on the Premier League.

But amid these big names, there also are a lot of youngsters who have done brilliantly over the past few years and are now set to make an impact at the big stage. Some of them have joined the Premier League from different leagues, while the others have graduated the youth ranks of different English clubs. But on the whole they are exciting to watch and it gives immense amount of pleasure to the clubs to find out that their kids have matured and are doing well in the big boys club. We take a look at three such players who should be able to do the justice that the managers have shown in them by placing them in the teams.

Lazar Markovic

Liverpool bought this 20 year old from Benfica and many are of the opinion that he is destined for big things. Having impressed one and all with his skill and flair, the pundits have often compared Markovic to some of the greats of the game. Rodgers wants his creativity to replace what Suarez brought into the team and he is fully aware of that. Markovic comes with the baggage of reputation behind his back and it would be interesting to see how he settles in the new league, which arguably is the toughest in the world.

Eric Dier

This youngster has had no problems to settle in the league and has already been the star for North London outfit Tottenham. Brought from Sporting, Dier is also 20 years old and can man the centre back along with the right back positions which is his primary position. Dier has already scored two goals for his side, including the late winner against West Ham in his debut. He has all the qualities that a wing back should have, the defensive rigidity and the attacking mindset. With the kind of form that he is at the moment, an England national team call up may not be very far away.

Diego Poyet

The surname Poyet certainly rings a few bell. Son of legendary player and current Sunderland manager Gus Poyet, Diego has joined West Ham this season from Charlton Athletic and some obvious comparison with his dad will come up during the course of the season. The midfielder was utterly impressive with the lower division side last season and that convinced the Hammers to invest in him. Already being handed his debut in the league, Poyet will be the man to watch out for in the cup games and as the occasional sub coming at the late stages of the match.
