Top 3 Struggling Youngsters In Premier League: Featuring A Manchester United Winger And A Tottenham Playmaker

Share

Barclays Premier League is never short of young talents. The English stage is the perfect platform for the youngsters to showcase their talents, and if they succeed to accomplish the Premier League’s experiment, the player can surely work in any of the league in the world.

Premier League is considered as the most physical league in the world, and that makes it one of the toughest in the world. The players have to get themselves ready for the game both physically and mentally. The young guns are usually given their chance at the age of 18-20 and that is the time, where the lad is assessed and his future is decided.

From the class of 92 to the high earning fashionistas, the youth players have always amazed the premier league spectators each and every season. Even in this year, we saw the emergence of the 18-year-old Marcus Rashford who scored twice in his European and Premier League debut.

Hector Bellerin is the one prospect who is considered as one of the brightest talents for the gunners and few more have performed brilliantly this season, yet there are some unfortunate players who due to injuries or lack of chances have suffered a major setback in their club’s career.

So, here are the 3 youngsters who have hindered in the premier league this season-

Adnan Januzaj-

The era of David Moyes at Manchester United never had a perfect outcome, but the Scottish manager did give a potential replacement for Cristiano Ronaldo (well, that was said by the United’s supporters). The Belgian international had a great time at Manchester until the Dutch Gaffer’s arrival.

Van Gaal bought some sensational signings to the side and that eventually made Januzaj more of a bench warmer at Old Trafford. He was then sent back to loan to Borussia Dortmund at the start of the season, and was recalled in January 2016. The Belgian has just 5 appearances to his name this season and has scored just one goal for the side.

At one moment in his career, the 21-year-old was linked with a big-money move to Real Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain, but United had other plans for the Belgian and the plans are looking to show a town time to Adnan Januzaj this season.

Calum Chambers-

Calum Chambers was ready to plan his future at Arsenal after playing more Premier League games than Francis Coquelin, Mesut Ozil and Hector Bellerin last season, but his fortune didn’t allow him to follow his dreams.

The ex- Southampton full-back was one of the best players in the side last year, but the injuries and inconsistency hindered his playing time and the 21-year-old eventually lost his position to his colleague Hector Bellerin.

He has played just 2 full games for Arsenal this season and has also missed to make up a mark on Roy Hogdson’s mind to make it up for Euros. Call it injuries or whatever, the youngster has surely stalled his progress this year and it won’t be a surprise to see him shipped out on loan next season.

Nabil Bentaleb-

The 2014-15 season for Bentaleb was something good to remember, he managed to mark 26 appearances to his name and became one of the important performers of the side. The same season, he was considered as the driving force who takes the initiative to start the attack for the team.

The Algerian international signed a five-year deal with the club last summer by denying all the interests from Arsenal and PSG. After having a perfect season at the club last season, the Algerian never managed to fit into Pochettino’s plans this season.

This season, Bentaleb has just 5 appearances to his name in which, he has played just one full game. His injury is something that is to be blamed for his disastrous season, but the main aspect is Eric Dier’s and Mousa Dembele’s renaissance. The midfielders did nothing wrong this season and that is the main reason Bentaleb didn’t have many chances this season. What’s next for Bentaleb? Well, Pochettino is the only man who can answer this question.
