All Eyes On Them – Top 3 Players To Watch Out For This Weekend

Another exciting match day of the Premier League is here as all the teams warm up in a chilly but hectic December month. The only thing that seems to be boiling up is the intensity, and an exhilarating atmosphere is expected all over the country.

Manchester City lead the table as they are 11 points clear of second-placed Manchester United. They take on Spurs who would surely be ready to give them a run for their money. Elsewhere, Arsenal play Newcastle knowing that anything less than a win could create tons of problems at North London.

Champions Chelsea host Southampton in a not-so-easy home encounter. Watford and Huddersfield play against each other in order to get back to winning ways. Surprise package Burnley, travel to Brighton and Hove Albion, to continue their solid run and keep flabbergasting other teams. Struggling Stoke will hope to get rid of their recent problems as they welcome the Hammers, who are on the rise.

High flying Everton under big Sam play Swansea whereas the big guns, Manchester United and Liverpool will aim to start winning a few on the trot as they lock horns against West Brom and Bournemouth respectively. But, who could shine and take the game to the opposition?

Here are the three players to watch out for –

David De Gea

He has the highest shot-stopping rating and has come up with some outstanding saves over the weeks. He steps up when his team needs him the most. The United defence has been rather solid this time around, but whenever they’ve been opened up, David De Gea has always been there to rescue them. He has impossible reflexes and is confident right from the outset. He has good communication and sets up his back line well. A big-time golden glove contender, the Spaniard will eye another clean sheet, this time against the Baggies.

Eden Hazard

Riyad Mahrez

The Algerian trickster has always had a big part to play whenever the Foxes have excelled. They have won four out of four recently, and Mahrez has been involved directly with the goals on all those occasions. A stunning goal versus Spurs, a decisive assist against the Clarets and a couple of more strikes into the net against Southampton and Newcastle United has got Leicester City up. He is a true match winner, who is now back with his cutting-edge, incisive passing and superb goalscoring touches.

Eden Hazard

With 11 goals in his last 13 appearances, Eden Hazard is back to his fluent, creative and effective best. Be it on the wings when he shifts, or through the middle behind Morata, he has the ability to make life harder for any defence. He drives forward, takes on players, brings midfielders into play, gels extremely well with Fabregas, Kante and Morata, has all the tricks and flicks in his bag and is a lethal finisher.

Last year in this fixture, it took him just 8 minutes to get on to the score sheet. Southampton can be very generous in some areas and with the license the Belgian has got, he will be all set to exploit them.
