To London (Arsenal) Or Spain? Where Should Raheem Sterling Move If He Leaves Liverpool?

Share

The contract signing of Raheem Sterling does not seem to be going anywhere, while Liverpool have been trying to get the 20 year old to sign a long term contract which would keep him at the club, Raheem or his agent wants a lot of money to ensure that the player has a financially secure future. According to reports, Liverpool had offered him £75,000 a week to start off with while Raheem wanted, based on his agent somewhere close to £100,000. Now it seems that Liverpool are willing to reach the 6 figure mark per week, but his agent wants somewhere close to £180,000, making Raheem the highest paid footballer at Liverpool.

Raheem Sterling

The parties are at lodger heads and this can only mean the transfer rumours are on full steam with Raheem being linked with a whole host of clubs, it seems inevitable that he might leave Liverpool, which not only gave him his break but under whom he has flourish and he might move for the lure of Champions League football. We look at 3 clubs which could not only sign him but also help him grow to be a better footballer.

Arsenal

In a recent interview, he said that he was flattered with the link with Arsenal, Sterling has been talked about in a deal which would see him move to Arsenal while Walcott joins Liverpool. Nevertheless, Arsenal is a great option for him as Wenger not only ensures that they play some great football and always go through to the Champions League, whether Liverpool sell him to a direct rival is something else but they did sell Torres to Chelsea, so you never know.

Borussia Dortmund

Sterling could make it a good summer for Dortmund as Jurgen Klopp’s mean have been looking for an X factor to make them whole once again. Dortmund would love to have Sterling in their side and they do have a lot of players who could fit into Liverpool’s system as well, why would Sterling move to Dortmund? Well they could win more trophies than Liverpool could in the next few years and they do have a lot of impact players which makes their brand of football so great to watch.

Barcelona

If Sterling does want to win trophies there can be no better club than Barcelona at the moment. The Catalan giants seem to be on a roll as they going great guns in La Liga and with Real Madrid in all sorts of problems they could end up dominating Spain and maybe Europe for a few seasons at least. They play a more direct and pacey brand of football which would fit Sterling perfectly and Barcelona did sign Suarez from Liverpool last time, they could repeat that deal with Sterling this time around.
