Three Young Players Who Could Take The Premier League By A Storm Next Season Including Liverpool & Burnley Youngsters

Share

With the Premier League just under a month away, the transfer market is reaching a pot boiler. Despite the names being linked, today we here at Soccerosouls walk a different path from the rest and provide our readers with three Three young players to look out in the 2014-15 EPL season.

Jordan Ibe:

Three assists in two warm up games for Liverpool surely means Jordan Ibe has given the strongest of hint to Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers, urging him to feature in the starting eleven for the Reds in the 2014-15 season.  Rodgers has shown the courage in the past and last season showed that he is not afraid to give the youngsters a chance in his side to come on and make an impact as he did with the likes of Sterling and Flanagan.

Ibe has tremendous pace, great feet and a bag of tricks likened that of team mate Raheem Sterling and can play on either wings if needed.  Rodgers’ signings so far in the transfer window has suggested that he wants players who are tactically flexible, good on the ball and have the ability to take on opposition on if needed. Ibe surely will have to wait for his place in the starting eleven but be rest assured if he gets the chance will certainly make a case for himself.

Jonathan Williams:

Much was expected from the young Welshman last season, but he hardly featured for the Eagles under Tony Pulis. The player was loaned out to Ipswich Town and made 12 appearances scoring a solitary goal. However, this time around, Swansea are reportedly interested in the 20 year old but it is unlikely that Palace will sell the player as the club regards him one for the future.

Despite being relatively short at just 5’5, Williams is an elegant midfielder who is soothing to the eye and one who makes up his lack of strength with his immaculate passing array and vision. His dazzling dribbling ability and low centre of gravity means he can skip past defenders at will but its his finishing abilities that are questionable, despite possessing a strong shot. Tony Pulis is working on a shoestring budget and this might be just the year where a lack of option in midfield will mean the young Welshman will be given the chance to showcase his skills on the turf.

Danny Ings:

The player, who has been on every other scout blog out there for the past 20-15 months. The 22 year old scored 21 goals in 40 appearances for Burnley in the Championship to help his side gain promotion in the top flight of English football. The player has already been linked with Southampton and Newcastle, both the clubs who are willing to splash the cash for the English striker to lead their front line.

Ings however is keeping his feet rooted to the ground and has ensured Burnley fans that he will remain loyal to the club despite interest from elsewhere. The Burnley forward doesn’t have threat holding abilities you would expect from a strong centre forward, nor does he have a good passing range, however Ings is more than just a brilliant finisher. An epitome of the ultimate fox in the box, his his eye-catching form at Turf Moor won him a place in the England U-21 squad and who knows if he is able to keep his form going, he will be England’s go to man in the upcoming 2016 Euro Championships.
