How Would Leeds United Line Up With Stuart Dallas In The Team

Since signing for Leeds United in 2015, Stuart Dallas’ time at Elland Road has been somewhat of a mixed bag. Dallas arrived at Leeds on the back of an excellent season for Brentford, scoring 6 times and assisting twice.

He carried his good form in his first year at Leeds too, making 45 appearances and scoring 5 goals but this season has seen his stock fall slightly and he now goes into the final year of his 3-year deal at the club. So will Dallas be a firm part of Garry Monk’s plans next season? It seems like he just might, and here is how the club may line-up, assuming they can keep hold of some of their better players:

Leeds XI With Stuart Dallas In The Line-Up

GK – David Stockdale

A homecoming for the current Brighton stopper looks to be on the cards and what a popular signing he would be.

RB – Luke Ayling

Ayling has done precious little wrong and can continue his development at the club.

CB – Pontus Jansson

Should Jansson wish to make his stay permanent at Leeds, the option is there for him to take. It can be argued that the Swede was Leeds’ best player last season.

CB – Liam Cooper

An easy way to cope with the loss of Kyle Bartley would be to foster the development of Cooper who was excellent when breaking into the side last season.

LB – Gaetano Berardi

A more direct replacement for Charlie Taylor may yet be sought. But Berardi’s stats are excellent and show he has done very little wrong when called upon.

Ronaldo Vieira

CM – Ronaldo Vieira

The young midfielder has a very bright future and will be a key man for the Whites next term.

CM – Kalvin Phillips

Another solid player in the centre, Phillips has struck up a partnership with Vieira which may be allowed to continue.

RW – Kemar Roofe

Although new signings are usually a plus, Roofe is one of the several players in this squad who can improve and make the squad better next season.

CAM – Pablo Hernandez

As long as he is given time on the ball, the Spaniard is a maestro and has signed a new deal to stay with the club.

LW – Stuart Dallas

Looks like his time may come again at Leeds after several loan players depart to their parent clubs.

ST – Chris Wood

Assuming Leeds can convince him to stay, Wood’s goals will be crucial if they are to eventually gain promotion back to the Premier League.
