Strongest Possible Tottenham Line Up To Face Swansea City Amidst Injury Concerns – Dier, Lamela And Chadli To Start

Mauricio Pochettino

None of the teams have impressed so much this year other than Tottenham Hotspur and Leicester City. Our focus today will be solely on Tottenham Hotspur who’ll host a struggling Swansea City at White Hart Lane on Saturday. Tottenham will be looking to add to their winning tally having won 5 games in a row. They swooped aside the Italian team side Fiorentina in their Europa League clash and hence Tottenham will come into the game rich in confidence.

No team has hit the woodwork more than Swansea City this season but we have to say, it’s been a miserable campaign for Swansea this time. They come into the game after a previous home loss to Southampton at the Liberty and Francesco Guidolin will only hope that his side puts up a fantabulous display to prevent spurs but that seems unlikely.

Team News of Tottenham:-

* Tottenham Hotspur come into the game with the biggest concern and that concern is over their star striker Harry Kane, who’s nursing a broken nose. Kane in doubtful for this game, although he has returned to training.
* Tottenham’s key centre back Jan Vertonghen is still seeing out his injury and he will miss this game as well.

Predicted playing eleven of Tottenham:-

Formation : 4-2-3-1

GK: Hugo Lloris

Goal Keeper Hugo Lloris finds himself to be the leading goal keeper of France as well as Tottenham. The goal keeper has a brilliant reach and superb reflexes and once again Lloris will look to display his sublime goal keeping ability should Swansea look to pose some difficult questions.

Defence:-

*Kyle Walker will start the game as Right Back. Walker’s blistering pace as well as interceptions will come in handy.
* Toby Alderweireld, deemed as one of the best young centre backs to be playing in England right now will once again look to impress and assert his influence from the back. Alderweireld is expected to be paired up with Wimmer since Vertonghen is injured and Pochettino has promoted dier to play as a central defensive midfielder.
* Danny Rose will be the left back. He too, like Kyle Walker has magnificent pace. Rose is an asset to have in the attacks and he’ll look to supply for the side from the left flank whenever needed.

Dele Alli

Midfielders and Wingers:-

*  Mason and Eric Dier will play the role of pivots in this Tottenham side. While Dier will look to provide cover for the defence, Mason will regulate the play and control the flow.
* Erik Lamela, Eriksen and Delle Alli will lurk behind Tottenham’s unknown striker as of now. Lamela is in some hot form after a heroic performance against Fiorentina while Eriksen once again will showcase his creative nature from the centre of the pitch. Delli Alli on another side is one developing English midfielder and his stupendous confidence as well as nature of the play has blown away many of the players and Alli will again show what he can do with the ball at his feet!

Striker:-

* The man who will lead Tottenham’s charge as a striker is still unknown. The options are in between Chadli and Harry Kane although Harry Kane’s return might mean that Lamela will be rested and Chadli will be given the greenlight. This part of the line-up is intriguing and indeed it’s all upto what Pochettino might decide in the last few minutes.

Probable XI: Lloris, Walker, Alderweireld, Wimmer, Rose, Dembele, Dier, Eriksen, Lamela, Alli, Chadli.
