The Hawthorns isn’t the best place for a Chelsea manager to visit, Roberto di Matteo and Andre Villas Boas lost their jobs after losing at the club and this does not bode well for Jose Mourinho. The Portuguese hasn’t had the best of times in the league this season but he will be looking to get their campaign back on track with a win at West Brom. Thibaut Courtois should return to the starting XI after having served his suspension for the red card against Swansea on the opening day as we predict the rest of the Chelsea XI.
Thibaut Courtois
The Belgian should return to the squad and will be hopeful of a better performance than the one against Swansea.
Cesar Azpilicueta
It seems also every Chelsea player is having a hard time getting into the groove, the normally solid Azpilicueta hasn’t been at his best either but the signing of Baba Rahman could provide him with the competition to get better.
Kurt Zouma
Cahill could be a massive doubt for the game against West Brom after being punched last time around by Begovic, Zouma was brought to play in the second half against Manchester City and the Frenchman could start against West Brom.
John Terry
From the ignominy of being substituted at half-time, Terry will be looking to make amends when he takes on the likes of Lambert and Rondon against West Brom.
Branislav Ivanovic
Age might be catching up with Ivanovic who looks really tired this season, he does need to get back to his best and maybe he could do that this weekend.
Cesc Fabregas
Cesc Fabregas might end up playing in a more advanced role later on in the season. He did start last season on fire but something doesn’t seem right for the Blues and Fabregas this season.
Nemanja Matic
The Serbian seems a little slow this time around and his partnership with Fabregas isn’t providing the returns that were coming in last season, he should still start the game though for the Blues.
Eden Hazard
The player of the year from last season still hasn’t hit the heights from last season. Maybe a game against West Brom could give him the kick-start he needs.
Willian
The versatile Willian could see his role and position change for Chelsea top accommodate a new signing, not that it would matter to him, he is extremely adaptable and seems to be one of the players that Jose does not want to drop.
Pedro
The new signing could be thrown straight into the deep end and he should be deployed down the right wing for the Blues.
Diego Costa
The Spanish striker needs to get his mojo on, last season he was banging the goals in for fun at the start of the season but this time around, he seems a little haggard. Costa has to fire soon for Chelsea or could see his place taken over by Falcao.
