Strongest Liverpool Lineup To Face Watford: Lallana Has To Start

Share

After the frantic end to the West Bromwich Albion game for Liverpool, they now travel to one of the surprise packages of the season, Watford. The Hornets are just coming off another victory thanks to a great performance from Odion Ighalo.

Watford are currently 7th in the league just a point ahead of Liverpool. Quique Sanchez Flores has done an admirable job for the club and they surely seem set for better things this season if they can keep their first XI fit.

Liverpool will be looking to get back to winning ways and the Reds have done well for Jurgen Klopp away from home but haven’t tasted a win in their last three games, while Watford have won their last three.

The Reds will be without Daniel Sturridge, who continues staying injured while they will also be without Dejan Lovren who had to be substituted after a tough challenge. Here is the predicted lineup for the Reds as they face Watford on Sunday.

Predicted Liverpool Lineup vs Watford

Simon Mignolet

Klopp still retains faith in the Belgian and he would be starting the game for the Reds, even though Bogdan should be given a chance.

Nathaniel Clyne

No one can replace Clyne, who has looked extremely comfortable for the Reds this season, despite it being his first season at Liverpool.

Martin Skrtel

The leader of the defence, Martin Skrtel will have to play his heart out to ensure Ighalo does not score against the Reds.

Kolo Toure

Liverpool fans might get to see Mamadou Sakho but the French defender might not be ready for the game and the place in the heart of the defence could be taken up by Kolo Toure.

Alberto Moreno

The left-back has looked brilliant under Klopp and could well play a huge role for the team at Vicarage Road.

Emre Can

Emre Can has been one of the best players for the Reds and should keep his place in the team as they look to get the three points away from home.

Lucas Leiva

James Milner is a big doubt for the game and would have to be replaced by Lucas. The Brazilian has looked good under Klopp but has to perform week in and week out for the German if he wants to keep his place.

Jordan Henderson

The Captain of the team will have to lead from the front, in the last game Liverpool’s midfield was almost non-existent and with Milner missing out due to injury, he needs to step it up.

Philippe Coutinho

Philippe Coutinho is the main player that Liverpool look to and if he has a poor game on Sunday, the Reds could well struggle to get much change from a tough Watford team.

Adam Lallana

The movement and ability of Lallana was a big miss for the club against Newcastle and the Englishman has to start the game if Liverpool have any chance of getting the points from Vicarage Road.

Christian Benteke

The Belgian certainly has to pull up his socks; he was extremely poor against West Brom and will have to do better if he has to keep his place in the starting XI.
