Arguably the most anticipated clash of any Premier League season and for the first time in many seasons, Liverpool have the upper hand going into the fixture over their fierce rivals. Lucas Leica has given a major boost to Liverpool’s midfield as the Brazilian returned to full training and played for the Reds U21s in a 2-0 win over West Ham United. However, it will be difficult for the midfielder to find a place in the starting XI. Steven Gerrard and Jordan Henderson in the middle would be the best option for Rodgers as the Liverpool captain will try to dictate the tempo on the counter with his sublime vision while Henderson will be making his late runs into the box. Liverpool’s man of the moment Raheem Sterling will also start with Philippe Coutinho on either flanks and the duo will be using their pace to get in behind the United back four.
