Strongest Chelsea Line up To Play Against Cardiff: Torres, Luiz & Schwarzer To Play In Their Last Match?

Share

Chelsea are set to finish off the current season with their match against Cardiff. This has not been the season that Mourinho would have expected. Chelsea look to be reaching the third spot in the league in spite of spending huge amounts of money in the summer as well as adding a few players in the winter transfer window. the probable squad for the last match of the season should be something like this.

Mark Schwarzer- The veteran Aussie goalkeeper will again be manning the goal in the absence of Cech. If his contract is not renewed, he may well be on his way out of the club in the summer and this could be his last match in a Chelsea jersey.

Branislav Ivanovic- He has been at his usual high standards throughout the season and once again he has been a dependable player. He would again like to have a decent end to the season with a win over Cardiff in the last game.

John Terry- Chelsea have had sixteen clean sheets in the league this season and much of that can be credited to their skipper John Terry. He has been an outstanding leader and finishing off with a clean sheet would be a icing on the cake.

Gary Cahill- All of Chelsea’s defenders have been superb and Cahill has been no exception either. His partnership with Terry has been noteworthy and it is expected that he would continue with his good show next season also. But before that one last match for this term.

Cesar Azpilicueta- He has been a revelation for Chelsea this season and his good showing has earned him a World Cup squad ahead of other seniors. He would love to put in another good show and try and convince the Spain boss to make him the regular.

Nemanja Matic- After his transfer in January, he has been a star for the Mourinho and is slowly transforming into the pivot of the team. Next season must hold many more special things for him, but before that one last show-off.

David Luiz- If reports are to believed, Luiz has already agreed a deal with Barcelona and this could well be his last match for Chelsea. Mourinho may just put him in the midfield for one last time before he heads to Spain after the World Cup.

Oscar- The Brazilian is back after being on the sidelines due to an injury and he should straight be in the sides. Oscar is one of the blue eyed boys of Mourinho and he can be a vital part of the Mourinho machinery next season.

Eden Hazard- After being dropped in the last match allegedly for his comments against the manager, the Belgian should be back in the side for this match. If Mourinho continues to drop him, PSG may come calling and that may harm Chelsea’s prospects.

Andre Schurrle- The German has had a decent first season for Chelsea and he should sign off this season with another first team start in all probability.

Fernando Torres- The Spaniard may be in his last few days for the London club and he may be given the farewell with another start. Interests from Atletico Madrid, Inter Milan and a few other teams are high and after summer he may be transferred out.
