Strongest 4-4-2 Hull City Line-Up To Face Crystal Palace Amidst Injury Headaches For Marco Silva

Predicted Hull City Lineup To Face Crystal Palace

Hull City will take a trip to the Selhurst Park as they take on Crystal Palace on Sunday in a match that will have huge ramifications in the Premier League relegation battles.

The Tigers are seated 18th in the table, after their surprise 2-0 loss to Sunderland last weekend. With just 2 games left to play, Marco Silva’s men need all the three points against the Eagles, who are yet to guarantee their safety as well. The last time the two teams met, the contest ended in a high-scoring 3-3 draw, but both the teams will be gunning for a victory this weekend.

Team News

Hull have been hit with an injury scare as Lazar Markovic is doubtful due to a knock, while Omar Elabdellaoui is also a doubt due to a back problem. Moses Odubajo, Will Keane, Ryan Mason and David Meyler have been ruled out for the season.

Probable Hull City Starting XI

Formation: 4-4-2

Manager: Marco Silva

Eldin Jakupovic (GK)

The 32-year old has played a good hand in Hull’s recovery under Marco Silva. He will take his spot between the sticks ahead of David Marshall.

Ahmed Elmohamady (RB)

The Egyptian is one of the main attacking outlets for Hull with his forward runs from right-back. Set to make his 31st league appearance.

Andrea Ranocchia (CB)

The January loan arrival has made himself a vital cog in the backline for the Tigers. Will have to deal with the threat of Christian Benteke.

Harry Maguire (CB)

One of the most sought-after defenders in the league, the 24-year old has been really impressive in the past four months. Will partner Ranocchia.

Andrew Robertson (LB)

The 23-year old, along with Elmohamady, has played the most league games for Hull this season (30). In line for another start at left-back position.

Kamil Grosicki (RM)

With Lazar Markovic a doubt due to injury, Polish wide man Kamil Grosicki could find himself switching from left flank to right flank.

Alfred N’Diaye (CM)

The 27-year old hasn’t missed a single game since his arrival in January. He will once again find himself in the middle of the park at the Selhurst Park.

Tom Huddlestone (CM)

The former Tottenham Hotspur man will return to the starting XI and partner N’Diaye in the midfield.

Sam Clucas (LM)

With Grosicki moving to the right flank, expect Sam Clucas out wide on the left-hand side, where he has played previously.

Abel Hernandez (ST)

The striker has just managed 4 goals so far this season – not good by any standards. He will need to deliver in the last two games for the team to have a chance of survival.

Oumar Niasse (ST)

The Everton loanee has had a decent spell since his arrival in the winter window. He can cause some serious troubles to a makeshift Palace backline.
