Arsenal seem to be in a bit of a dilemma as they look to bring in more quality to the side. The Gunners might have signed Granit Xhaka, who does seem to be a world class player but that is pretty much it in terms of their quality coming into the side.
The Gunners have always been in the market for a top quality striker but another position that the club could need some help when it comes to an attacking sense is that of the right-wing. A lot of times last season we saw the likes of Mesut Ozil and Aaron Ramsey being forced to play out wide, even though they preferred a more central role in the team.
The Premier League side need to have some sort of balance and they already have Alexis Sanchez who can play on their side of the wing but the big question that arises is whether they need to spend big on a winger or a forward?
If we look at the squad at Arsenal, there is one thing which they have in abundance and that is attacking midfielders. The likes of Theo Walcott, Alex-Oxlade Chamberlain and even rising star Alex Iwobi can play out wide.
Sure, they might not be the best players in the world but they can do a decent job if they are rotated and used right. The Premier League side also saw one player rise up and do really well in a few games last season and that was Joel Campbell.
The Costa Rican could become one of the players that Arsenal and Arsene rely on this season in case some of their star players do not do well. The real issue lies with the consistency of all the players mentioned but that is not the biggest problem in the team.
All those players can put in a good performance once in a while but if we have a look at their striking department, there are a number of holes that need to be fixed. Olivier Giroud is not the greatest when it comes to scoring goals, though he does find the back of the net every other game.
The Gunners do not have adequate quality or cover for this position, Danny Welbeck is still to show his quality in the team and he still might need a lot of time before he gets back to his best. Yaya Sanogo still does not have enough first team experience or quality to star for the Gunners and the new signing Takuma Asano is still too young and inexperienced to star in a tough league as the Premier League.
The London club would be taking part in all the top competitions next season and not having cover for Olivier Giroud will be a problem for them once again. There is no chance that the Gunners can win the Premier League if they stick with the attacking trio that they have and the earlier they can get someone to provide Giroud and the likes some proper competition, the better it would be for the side and hopefully they should have enough about them to win that elusive Premier League title.
