Star Returns: Strongest 3-4-1-2 West Ham United Line-Up To Face Tottenham Hotspur

West Ham United

Predicted West Ham United Lineup To Face Tottenham

West Ham United will take on second-placed Tottenham Hotspur in the London derby at the Olympic Stadium on Friday night in the Premier League.

The Hammers have managed to win just a single game in their last 11 league games and have drawn the last 3 matches. Slaven Bilic badly needs a win as his future hangs in the balance on how his team finish# the season. They currently sit 15th in the league standings 7 points above the relegation zone. A win against the Lilywhites would definitely ease the pain of what has been an extremely disappointing campaign.

Team News

Bilic is sweating over the fitness of striker Andy Carroll who has been out due to a groin strain but is expecting him to be ready for the game. Arthur Masuaku was down with a knock but is expected to be available, while Diafra Sakho too, remains a doubt due to a back injury. Michail Antonio, Gokhan Tore and Pedro Obiang have been ruled out for the season, while Angelo Ogbonna is working towards returning before the end of the season.

Probable West Ham United Starting XI

Formation: 3-4-1-2

Manager: Slaven Bilic

Adrian (GK)

Came in for Darren Randolph for the last 2 games against Stoke City and Everton. He is expected to keep his place between the sticks.

Jose Fonte (CB)

The 33-year old Portuguese has not missed a single game since his arrival from Southampton. He is all set to make his 14th league appearance for the Hammers.

Winston Reid (CB)

The New Zealand international is the one that keeps the West Ham backline together. He will have a big role to play in keeping Harry Kane quiet.

James Collins (CB)

The 33-year old will take the final spot in the three-man backline for the Hammers. Will have to muster all his experience against a fluid Tottenham attack.

Edimilson Fernandes (RM)

The 21-year old midfielder started the game against Stoke City on the right wing ahead of Sam Byram. He is set to keep his place in the line-up.

Cheikhou Kouyate (CM)

The Senegalese international has been one of the better performers for West Ham over the course of the season. He will start the game in the middle of the park.

Havard Nordtveit (CM)

Partnering Kouyate in the midfield will be summer signing Havard Nordtveit. The Norwegian international hasn’t been involved heavily and has just made 15 league appearances. Will get a start Friday.

Aaron Cresswell (LM)

With Arthur Masuaku doubtful after picking up a knock against Stoke last week, Aaron Cresswell is expected to feature from kick-off against Spurs.

Manuel Lanzini (CAM)

Probably the brightest spark in West Ham’s attack over the course of the season, the Argentine will be expected to make things happen in the final third.

Andre Ayew (ST)

The 27-year old has scored just 5 goals this season and has had a frustrating campaign. Will want to end the season on a high with some strong performances in the coming weeks.

Andy Carroll (ST)

Injuries continue to hamper the Englishman. Bilic said he is expecting the big forward to be ready for the Tottenham clash and if that is the case, he will definitely start.
