Manchester United’s pursuit of Paul Pogba is taking longer than expected. However meanwhile the Red Devils are also chasing other notable names.
According to Reports, there has been a bid from Manchester United for James Rodriguez of Real Madrid. The star of 2014 world cup has fallen down the pecking order at Real Madrid and the new manager Zinedine Zidane is believed to be willing to let the midfielder go.
United have reportedly made a bid of £34 million for the Colombian star. PSG and West Ham are also said to be interested in Rodriguez but United are said to be leading the chase with a bid already made. Whether Jose Mourinho is looking at James as an alternative to Pogba is yet to be seen but both are very competent player in their own rights. While Paul Pogba is more of a box-to-box midfielder, James Rodriguez’s major contribution will come in attack.
