In a recent interview, Thorgan Hazard has stated that he is trying to prove that champions of England, Chelsea were wrong in selling him to Borussia Mönchengladbach and he will follow the footsteps of Kevin De Bruyne. The younger brother of Eden, was sold to the Bundesliga outfit for a price of £6m back in February though the 22-year-old superstar had a productive loan spell at Borussia-Park.
This has made the youngster more focused on emulating De Bruyne, who left the Blues for £18m in January 2014, as Jose Mourinho was unimpressed by his performances. The play-make set the Bundesliga alight and completed a £55m move to Manchester City this summer, which would have left the west London club fuming.
In his interview with port Foot magazine, according to talkSPORT, Hazard stated, “I am trying to follow his path. He was not wanted at Chelsea, but he resurfaced in Germany to become, by far, the best player in the Bundesliga last season. The Germans are crazy about him. He is the epitome of a player who has progressed steadily. Now he is at Manchester City.”
