Sheffield United vs Arsenal prediction: Arsenal line-up

Arsenal face a tough clash on Monday night after the international break. The Gunners travel to an impressive Sheffield United, who drew against Chelsea and were impressive against Liverpool.

Unai Emery’s men are in decent form with one draw and five wins from their last six games in all competitions.

The Gunners were slightly fortunate to come out with all three points against Bournemouth, but have Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang banging goals for fun.

The Gabon striker has seven goals from eight Premier League games this season and should start for the Gunners on Monday.

Arsenal lie third in the Premier League just one point behind Manchester City and could leapfrog them if things go their way this weekend.

Predicted Arsenal XI

Formation: 4-2-3-1

Bernd Leno (GK)

Leno has looked more confident this season and will face a real test at the Blades.

Calum Chambers (RB)

Chambers is another player who has looked much better this season under Emery, and it will be interesting to see how he does against Chris Wilder’s team.

Sokratis (CB)

Sokratis has made some errors at the back this season and needs to be close to perfect if Arsenal are to get three points on Monday.

David Luiz (CB)

The Brazilian has been inconsistent this season and Sheffield could target the former Chelsea defender.

Sokratis Papastathopoulos

Sead Kolasinac (LB)

Kolasinac’s runs down the left will be one of the keys to Arsenal beating the Blades, and the Bosnian has to do his bit at the back to keep the home side from scoring.

Matteo Guendouzi (CM)

The Frenchman is all action in the middle of the park and should be one of the first names on the team sheet for Emery.

Granit Xhaka (CM)

Xhaka is another player who is prone to making errors but Emery seems to keep faith in the Swiss midfielder.

Nicolas Pepe (RAM)

Pepe hasn’t lived up to the hype after his big-money move from Lille. However, he still has time on his hands to turn his Arsenal career around.

Dani Ceballos (CAM)

The on-loan Real Madrid midfielder has been one of the best players for Arsenal this season and should start just behind the striker. Ceballos’ creativity is important to the Gunners and he could unlock Sheffield’s defence easily.

Bukayo Saka (LAM)

The youngster has been one of the impressive finds for Emery this season and should keep his place in the starting XI.

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang (ST)

Aubameyang seems to be carrying Arsenal’s attack all on his shoulders. The Gunners should win the game if the Gabonese is in top form, and he seems likely to add to his goal tally at the Bramall Lane.
