Saul Niguez vs Paul Pogba: Who Would Be The Best Man To Line Up Under Jose Mourinho At Man United Next Season

Share

Manchester United have been linked with a host of big money players since the arrival of Jose Mourinho at the club, as the former Chelsea boss is expected to receive a huge bounty of cash to spend this summer. The Portuguese manager will be looking to reinforce the squad, after the departure of Louis van Gaal from the club. The Red Devils will be hoping that Mourinho can help them get back to winning titles in the near future and can ensure that the team challenges for the Premier League title in the upcoming campaign.

In order to do that, the new United boss will have to sign more top quality players and a host of big stars have been linked in recent times with a move to Old Trafford.

Two big names who are targets for the Manchester based club have been Atletico Madrid’s Saul Niguez and Juventus midfielder Paul Pogba, superstars who can surely make things happen for Mourinho and Co. Now, the dilemma would be which player is the better one, as both players are quite renowned at what they do.

Saul is just 21 years old and has represented Spain at the U-21 level. Till now he has made a total of 57 appearances for the La Liga outfit scoring 8 goals, since joining them in 2012. Also, he was away on loan at Rayo Vallecano from 2013-14, where he made a total of 34 appearances scoring just twice.

The young midfielder is a left footed player and is quite versatile in his play, as he can play both a defensive and an offensive role, depending on how the manager wants him to. Niguez was linked with a move to The Theater of Dreams and is a £54m summer target for the European giants.

He has missed out on a chance to play for his national side in the Euros, after being left out of the squad and will now want to make a huge impact and a name for himself that it does not happen in the future. A move to United can put him in the news and if the player is looking for a new challenge, the move would be perfect for him.

On the other hand, it seems that Pogba is done with Juve and needs something new in life. The 23 year old France international will be playing in the upcoming tournament in his native country and will want to impress, prior to making a move elsewhere, before the start of the new campaign. Though, there have been claims that United are keen on having their former star back, nothing is certain at the moment.

The Premier League giants have offered £60m to get a deal done to the Serie A champions, though the decision of selling is now theirs. The midfield superstar has been really impressive since moving to Turin and has made 124 appearances for them, scoring 28 times(league stats). The star shows tremendous composure and strength in high pressure situations, which makes him a threat to any side that he plays against.

Both players have helped their side reach the Champions League final , though have ended up as runners-up. However, if they do join United, they will be featuring in the Europa League next season. Who would be the better choice?? For me, Pogba!!
